The Valencian socialist federation, led by Ximo Puig, supports Pedro Sánchez’s negotiation strategy, which includes dialogue with Junts, to achieve the investiture. The meeting held last night by the PSPV interparliamentary confirmed that there are no dissenting voices in the position that the former Valencian president has maintained from the beginning. In fact, Puig pointed out that “we cannot be in an ‘impasse’, we need there to be a government and for issues such as the territorial issue to be unblocked.”

Regarding Feijóo’s investiture, he assured that the PP is already exercising a “pre-opposition” and that “they have no political project for Spain” because they are “incapable of understanding the diversity of our country”: “Their Spain is limited, It is not everyone’s.”

For this reason, Ximo Puig highlighted the need for Spain “to have a government that responds to what citizens have said at the polls”: Finally, Ximo Puig highlighted that the work of the socialist government is positive and that the challenges for the next legislature will also be “the financing and progressive agenda of social justice and the ability to create jobs.”
