Around the Bellmunt sanctuary, an exceptional viewpoint at more than 1,200 meters above sea level in the Osona region, the landscape is very rugged and the views are, literally, wonderful.
But, apart from the panoramic views, what is very surprising are the small herds of goats that defy the laws of gravity, without any vertigo, avoiding impossible steps of the abyss, as we see in this report in Readers’ Photos. The vanguard.
At the top we not only find this popular sanctuary but, as a curious note, some goats that challenge the heights in the abyss of the mountain.
The main ascent routes to Bellmunt are from Vidrà on the GR-3; from Santa Maria de Besora and Sant Pere de Torelló, along the GR-151; or by the PR C-45 from Torelló or Sant Pere de Torelló.
From the top of the Bellmunt summit you can see a good panoramic view of the Eastern Pyrenees, the Transversal mountain range and the Plana de Vic.
