The fourth edition of the National Russian Salad Championship, held yesterday in San Sebastián Gastronomika, has once again decided which restaurant in the State has the best recipe for this dish.
This year the first prize went to La Viña de Henao, a restaurant run by Carmen Bedia Berodia in the center of Bilbao. This establishment takes over from the Castru Gaiteru restaurant (Llanes, Asturias), winner of the contest in 2022.
Behind them are El Txoko by Ramiro Berri (Donostia- Guipúzcoa), Tangana, Local de Ensayo (Murcia), L’Arrosseria (Cunit, Tarragona), Avrile (Santander), Hermanos Alba (Málaga), Torres Herrera, La Isla ( Seville) and El Pandora (Avilés, Asturias).
The award was decided by a jury made up of Benjamín Lana, president of the gastronomic division of the Vocento Group, critics José Carlos Capel, Carlos Maribona, Ignacio Medina and Julia Pérez Lozano and prestigious chefs Martín Berasategui and Leonor Espinosa.
Among the winners of previous editions of this contest are the restaurants Castru Gaiteru (Llanes, Asturias) in 2022, Tragatá (Ronda, Málaga) in 2021, Chinchín Puerto (Caleta de Vélez, Málaga) in 2020, Candado Golf (Málaga) in 2019 and Tapas 24 (Barcelona) in 2018.
