Two people have died in a small plane accident belonging to the Malaga One Air Aviation flight school that was destined for Valencia. The device crashed in the Cerro del Fraile area, in the Almeria municipality of Níjar, and was found early in the morning.

It was shortly after taking off that contact with the occupants was lost, and upon seeing that it did not reach its destination, the school director alerted the destination airport.

The emergency service 112 of Andalusia received a request from 112 of the Valencian Community around 12:30 a.m. to coordinate the search for the missing.

The 112 room notified the Almería Firefighters, the Health Emergency Center (CES) 061, the Local Police, the Civil Guard, the National Police and its Unit assigned to the Community, Infoca, the Control Center of Air Traffic, Coordination and Rescue, Civil Protection of Níjar, Maritime Rescue, Almería Airport and the Government Subdelegation in Almería.

As specified by the Subdelegation, a helicopter located the remains of the aircraft in an escaped area in the Cerro del Fraile de Níjar at dawn and reported that there were no survivors.

The Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group (GREIM) of the Civil Guard rescued the lifeless bodies of the deceased, whose identity has not been revealed.

The Almería airport opened its facilities during the night so that the aircraft participating in the search for the plane could refuel.
