He is the most famous video game designer on the planet and every time he shows a new trailer the world of electronic entertainment stops. The Japanese Hideo Kojima has just presented the second trailer for Death Stranding 2 at Sony’s State of Play event, the PlayStation 5 sequel to the science-fiction adventure published in 2019 and, once again, it has once again surprised both the spectacularity of the images as well as their extravagance.
The title set in a post-apocalyptic world and starring a cast of stars from the small and big screen, such as Norman Reedus or Léa Seydoux, a new video of almost ten minutes in length has been seen, the same one that accompanies these lines .
One of the most curious details of this new trailer has been seeing the Australian filmmaker George Miller, the director of films like Mad Max, playing one of the characters in the game. In fact, it is not something new, since other film directors, such as Guillermo del Toro or Nicolas Winding Refn, already appeared in the first Death Stranding.
However, beyond the small details, if this new trailer is surprising for anything, it is because of the visual quality of its images. The latest video game blockbusters have accustomed us to images with detail and fidelity that were unthinkable a few years ago, but what Kojima Productions does seems to be on another level.
In any case, we still have to put our boots back on and explore a desolate world in the shoes of transporter Sam Porter Bridges, since Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – as will be the full name – will not go on sale until 2025 .
