Microsoft gave clues that there would be surprises in this edition of The Game Awards, and they weren’t lying: the long-awaited Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 was shown with a new (and wild) trailer during the ceremony held tonight at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles (California).
The sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was announced in the distant 2019 and since then it has only been shown in different trailers. The new video presented this morning focuses for the first time on the combats and reveals some raw and brutal confrontations.
As indicated at the end of the trailer, the new game from the British studio Ninja Theory will be released throughout 2024, but not much else is specified. While it is a title owned by Microsoft, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 for Xbox Series and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was published in 2017 and surprised with its premise, the story of a young Celtic woman who suffers from schizophrenia at a time when there was great ignorance about this mental illness.
