There’s less left to explore the streets of Barcelona in search of races in the Taxi Life video game. This taxi driver simulator set in Barcelona will go on sale next March 7 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, as its creators have announced.

Coinciding with the revelation of the release date – it was known that it would be released in March, but not the day – the Polish development studio Simteract has published a new trailer in which you can see more images of the recreation that this game will make of Barcelona . Las Ramblas, Paseo de Colón and the Arc de Triomphe are some of the locations that can be seen in the following video.

“After arriving in Barcelona with nothing more than a car and a dream, drive through the bustling streets of the famous city and transport passengers offering them impeccable service,” states the official Taxi Life page on the Steam platform, which also details that This game will recreate an area of ??“460 km of tracks in a large area of ??Barcelona reproduced at a 1:1 scale.”

As it is a simulator, players must follow the traffic rules, although, as can also be seen in the video, this does not mean that infractions or small accidents may occur.

As the development studio has revealed, players will have to “deal with impatient tourists, changing weather and rush hour; adapt your routes to avoid traffic jams and accidents; and, above all, ensure that your customers are happy with your service to get the best reviews and the most generous tips.”

Taxi Life was announced in March of last year under the name Urban Venture, but it was not until last November, with the publication of a new trailer, when it began to generate more interest thanks to its apparently realistic recreation of Barcelona. In fact, the Catalan community of video game enthusiasts pressured the developer to include Catalan among the available languages, something that will end up becoming a reality, as Simteract recently announced.

In the past, the city of Barcelona has been the setting for some video games and driving simulators. For example, the truck simulator Euro Truck Simulator has an expansion that recreates different places in Spain, and among them is also the Catalan capital.
