Black Myth Wukong Trailer Excludes Xbox Series X and S Version
Game Science has confirmed that the highly anticipated game, Black Myth Wukong, will be releasing on PlayStation 5 and PC before making its way to Xbox Series X and S. This announcement comes after the latest trailer for the game, unveiled during Summer Game Fest 2024, conspicuously left out any mention of the Xbox version.
Initially slated for a multi-platform release on August 20, 2024, including PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, Game Science has now revealed that Black Myth Wukong will only be available on PS5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on the launch date. The studio cited ongoing optimizations for the Xbox version as the reason for the delay, expressing apologies to Xbox users for the inconvenience.
The decision to exclude the Xbox Series X and S version from the upcoming release follows a series of controversial comments made by Game Science’s founders and developers, as reported by IGN. These remarks have sparked heated debates within the gaming community, particularly among Chinese gamers, leading to demands for accountability and apologies from the studio.
Despite the backlash, Black Myth Wukong continues to generate significant interest and discussions, with varying opinions on the controversy surrounding Game Science. IGN reached out to the studio for comment on the matter but has not received any response thus far.
As the anticipation for Black Myth Wukong builds, the gaming community remains divided on the game’s future and the actions of its developers. Stay tuned for further updates on this evolving story.
