Town and Country, Missouri – The Town and Country Police Department has confirmed that they are closely monitoring a neo-Nazi demonstration that took place on Saturday afternoon. The demonstration was captured on MoDOT’s Gateway Guide Camera and showed a group of individuals wearing dark clothing and carrying flags with swastikas and other messages.
Despite the controversial nature of the demonstration, Lt. Dan Dubbleston of the Town and Country Police Department stated that there have been no reported safety issues as of Saturday afternoon. Dubbleston emphasized that the group has the constitutional right to protest, and the police have been present to monitor the situation.
“We’ve had officers on the scene monitoring the demonstration, and so far, we haven’t observed any safety concerns that would cause alarm. Traffic flow has not been significantly affected,” Dubbleston said in a statement to FOX 2.
The Town and Country Police Department has received numerous phone calls regarding the demonstration and has assured the public that they are actively monitoring the situation. As of 3 p.m. on Saturday, no threats to public safety have been identified.
In a news release issued on Saturday afternoon, the Town and Country Police Department reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of pedestrians and motorists in the area around Mason Road and Interstate 64. They advised travelers to exercise caution and patience while passing through the area.
