Both Hill and Waddle were effectively neutralized by the Colts’ defense, with Hill only managing one catch for 8 yards and one carry for 5 yards, while Waddle caught just one pass for 11 yards.
McDaniel acknowledged that opposing teams often focus on minimizing the impact of Hill and Waddle due to their exceptional talent. He emphasized the need to find solutions to increase their involvement in the offense, as their performance is crucial to the team’s success.
The Dolphins, who are currently 2-4 for the season, faced additional challenges during the game. Quarterback Tyler Huntley sustained a shoulder injury in the third quarter, adding to the team’s quarterback woes as they have already used four quarterbacks this season. Despite a strong rushing performance with 188 yards on the ground, the Dolphins struggled in the passing game and failed to capitalize on key opportunities.
