Given the sophistication of smartphones today, these terminals have prices that are not exactly cheap. For this reason, it is common for us to want to protect our mobile phone as much as possible when we buy it new and shiny. We choose a case that protects it from possible falls, we install protectors to avoid scratches on the camera and, of course, the screen protector.
Screen protectors, whether made of plastic or tempered glass, have the task of safeguarding the integrity of your mobile phone screen. They protect it to prevent it from being scratched by constant friction with other objects -for example, if you usually leave it on the table or carry it in your bag-, as well as so that it does not break or break if you drop it. Now, putting them correctly is not an easy task.
We must put the screen protector with great care if we want a satisfactory result. This involves squaring it up nicely with the edges of the device and also making sure it sticks well and doesn’t get annoying air bubbles. These, in addition to being unsightly, hinder the effective protection of tempered glass. So it is important to avoid them if you do not want to have a mishap.
First of all, choose a quiet place to do it. Avoid places with a lot of dirt or fuss, because if you get distracted it is likely that you will not do it well. Also, if there is dirt or dust particles in the environment, they will surely end up embedded between the screen and the protector, giving rise to those happy air bubbles. Of course, you should also wash your hands so as not to leave dirty footprints.
Precisely for this reason, a very important step is to clean the terminal’s screen well, since dirt and dust are one of the most common causes of air bubbles. To do this, most tempered glass on the market includes a wet wipe with which to clean the screen and another to dry it. If this is not the case, you can use special wipes to clean screens for sale in many specialized stores, or a chamois to clean glasses.
Once the screen is clean and dry, you can proceed to place the tempered glass. Start at one of the ends of the mobile, either above or below. Go sticking the glass very little by little, pushing with the help of a chamois or dry towel to expel the air out. If once the protector is completely glued there are air bubbles, you can lift it slightly and repeat the process slowly, or press them out with the help of a plastic card, either your credit card or your ID. Be patient and careful not to scratch the protector.
