ST. LOUIS – A fast-moving clipper system is set to bring light snow and flurries to the region late tonight into Monday morning, potentially causing disruptions to the morning commute. Despite the snow’s light nature, untreated surfaces could quickly become snow-covered and slick due to the very cold temperatures.
According to meteorologist Chris Higgins, temperatures will only reach the low to mid-30s this afternoon, with some clearing expected midday into the afternoon. Minor accumulations of dusting to about 1 inch are possible, making it a “light precipitation-high impact” event, primarily due to the timing during the morning rush hour.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution and allow for extra travel time on Monday morning as the snowfall could significantly impact traffic flow. Stay tuned for further updates on FOX 2 St. Louis Weather.
