Google has bet heavily on its Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro mobile device and has announced its new features a week after it officially debuts in stores, with improvements in different sections and changes that are giving a lot to talk about among smartphone enthusiasts.
The first thing that stands out among Google’s announcements about the Pixel 8 is Google’s Tensor G3 processor, which allows extensive AI functions to be incorporated to offer “more useful and personalized experiences” as well as many other “unreleased functions,” according to advances the technology giant.
Another of the surprising points of this Pixel 8 is its reduced size compared to previous editions, with a 6.2-inch Actua screen that allows considerably greater brightness and rounded edges that give a characteristic shape to the Google smartphone.
The most curious gadget of this launch is the new temperature sensor that they have incorporated into the back of the Pixel 8 Pro, which will be used to measure the temperature of any object and will be useful to “know if the frying pan you have on the fire is already has been heated enough” or “if a bottle is at the right temperature,” they explain on Google as an example.
The cameras are one of the strong points of Pixel 8, with an improved 50MP main and a 12MP ultrawide in addition to having access to editors with Google Photos generative AI functions such as Magic Editor and Best Take to retouch and improve photos intuitively.
Specifically regarding generative artificial intelligence, the Google Assistant equipped with this technology also stands out, which can be asked to perform functions such as reading, translating or summarizing web pages, as well as better managing and organizing your calls.
In addition, Google ensures that both the Pixel 8 and its Pixel 8 Pro version will have seven years of software support for the first time with operating system updates, security updates, and regular updates with new features.
Pixel 8 will go on sale next October 12 in Spain for a price starting at €799 and Pixel 8 Pro for €1,099 and can be purchased as a novelty with Orange at El Corte Ingles and Mediamarkt, in addition to Google and Amazon stores .
