The recent break-in and burglary at a Lauderhill smoke shop was caught on surveillance video, revealing the daring actions of two suspects. The incident occurred around 1:50 a.m. last week on Tuesday near North University Drive in Lauderhill.

The footage showed two individuals standing outside the store before using a brick to smash the front windows. They quickly entered the shop, grabbed various products from behind the counter, and stuffed them into their pockets. After collecting the stolen items, they made a swift exit from the store and fled the scene.

Based on the video, the suspects appeared to be two young black males wearing hoodies during the crime. One of them was dressed in a light blue hoodie, black sweatpants, and black flip-flops, while the other wore a black hoodie, black shorts with stripes, black tights under the shorts, and black and white flip-flops.

A store employee mentioned that he believed the suspects had visited the store earlier to survey the area. The stolen items were estimated to be valued between $1,000 and $1,500. Lauderhill Detectives are requesting anyone who recognizes the suspects in the video to contact the Lauderhill Police Department at 954-497-4700 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 (TIPS).

Incidents like these highlight the importance of security measures for businesses, especially during late hours. It is essential for store owners to invest in quality surveillance systems and other security precautions to deter criminal activities and protect their property.
