Miami police have apprehended a 69-year-old man for his involvement in a string of vehicle vandalisms across various neighborhoods in the city. Patrick Hennessy stands accused of etching the letters “LLX” onto the doors of 19 cars in Downtown, Little Havana, and Brickell using a tool. The damages caused by these acts of vandalism amount to over $19,000 in repair expenses. These incidents took place between February 2 and October 10.
Law enforcement officers were able to identify a pattern in the vandalism cases and, with the help of patrol officers, successfully located and arrested Hennessy. Despite this arrest, authorities suspect that there may be more victims who have not yet come forward to report similar acts of vandalism on their vehicles.
