Gloria Estefan and her family want to ring this Christmas. Parents, daughter and grandson have joined their voices in a new album that they have baptized as Estefan Family Christmas and that has several novelties, starting because the producer and wife of the singer, Emilio, had never sung on an album before. In addition, her daughter Emily, 27, and her grandson Sasha, 10, collaborate.

The album contains 17 songs, some in Spanish and others in English and two of them original (Thankful and When I Miss You Most). The public will be able to enjoy it on digital platforms from October 13 and physically on December 2.

The seed of this project was born on Thanksgiving Day 2019, when the family gathered around the table sang and improvised a chorus, present in the first single from the album, Thankful.

It is not the first time that Gloria Estefan is animated with a Christmas album. Already in 1993 she released Christmas Through Your Eyes. She liked her experience so much that now she has decided to repeat it better accompanied than ever.

With this new proposal, the Estefans are aware that they will have competition, because if there is a great leader on the Christmas lists, that is none other than Mariah Carey. Even a quarter of a century after it came to light, his famous All I want for Christmas is you was positioned for the first time at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart, a classification of the 100 most listened to songs. The song became one of the biggest musical hits since its release in 1994.
