The Milwaukee Bucks agreed this Wednesday with the Portland Trail Blazers to sign Damian Lillard in exchange for Jrue Holiday, among other players, in an operation that also involves the Phoenix Suns.

After months of speculation about the future of Lillard, the Blazers star, the Bucks of Greek Giannis Antetokounmmpo were able to obtain his services after a three-franchise agreement that will take center DeAndre Ayton to the Blazers and the Bosnian Jusuf Nurkic and Grayson Allen to the Phoenix Suns, as reported this Wednesday by ‘ESPN’ and ‘The Athletic’.

Lillard, 33, leaves the Blazers after eleven seasons and will form an explosive duo with Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee. The deal sees the Blazers receive Holiday, Ayton, Toumani Camara and a first-round pick in the 2029 draft.

The Suns of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker will receive Nurkic, Nassir Little, Keon Johnson and Grayson Allen, according to the sources cited.

Lillard averaged 32.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists last year for the Trail Blazers, the franchise of which he was the unquestioned star since 2012, but in which he has never had real title ambitions. The new NBA season will begin on October 24.
