UEFA announced this Wednesday that the Hungarian Puskás Aréna stadium, in Budapest, will host the men’s Champions League final in 2026, while the women’s final will be played at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.
Its executive committee, meeting in Dublin on the occasion of the Europa League final being played tonight in the Irish capital, explained that it is postponing until September the decision on the venue for the 2027 men’s Champions’ final, subject to the report on the remodeling of the San Siro stadium in Milan (Italy).
The highest body of European football also announced that the men’s finals of the Europa League – the second continental competition – in 2026 and 2027 will be held at the Besiktas Park in Istanbul (Turkey) and at the Stadion Frankfurt (Germany), respectively.
Likewise, UEFA confirmed that the men’s finals of 2026 and 2027 of the Conference League – the third tournament – will move to the RB Arena in Leipzig (Germany) and Besiktas Park, respectively.
Regarding the 2027 women’s ‘Champions’, the committee indicated that a new bidding procedure will be opened, since Germany was already designated for other finals in 2026 and 2027 and, therefore, Stuttgart’s candidacy could not be considered.
