Real Madrid visits the Vallecas Stadium this Sunday. The whites will face Rayo Vallecano as part of matchday twenty-five of LaLiga EA Sports. This is the second Madrid derby that Carlo Ancelotti’s team has played this month, after having drawn against Atlético de Madrid on February 4.

Rayo, which is fourteenth in the standings, needs to get the three points if it wants to escape from the bottom of the table and get some air. However, the focus will be on the bench; specifically in the coaching staff, since on Tuesday, February 13, the club issued a statement announcing the dismissal of its coach, Francisco Rodríguez.

Rodríguez became the eighth LaLiga EA Sports coach dismissed this season, after 24 days of competition. Previously, José Rojo ‘Pacheta’ left his position as coach at the head of Villarreal, who was the second dismissed from the Castellón club last November after having replaced Quique Setién after four days, Paco López (Granada), Vicente Moreno (Almería ), José Luis Mendilibar (Seville), the Uruguayan Diego Alonso (Seville) and Sergio González (Cádiz).

For the match against Rayo Vallecano, the whites will not have Alaba and Courtois until the end of the season, Rüdiger until the end of the month, and Militao until the end of March. He will also not have Mendy due to an accumulation of cards. For its part, Rayo only has Méndez in doubt due to physical problems.

The match between Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid, corresponding to the twenty-fifth day of LaLiga EA Sports, will be played this Sunday, February 18, at 2:00 p.m., at the Vallecas Stadium. The meeting can be seen on television on Movistar and can also be followed live through the La Vanguardia website.
