Barcelona midfielder Pedro González ‘Pedri’ worked out this Thursday on the pitch at the Joan Gamper Sports City, outside the group and as one more step towards his recovery. Although it is too early to be able to guarantee it, the player is working to be able to be in the Champions League match, against PSG, in two weeks.
The Canarian left the LaLiga match that the Catalans played in San Mamés in tears on March 3 after injuring the rectus femoris in his right thigh. Instead, today he could be seen at the Sant Joan Despí facilities working smiling on the grass, in an image released by the Catalan club.
Forty-eight hours after receiving Las Palmas at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, Xavi Hernández was finally able to count on all the internationals, in a session in which defenders Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen once again trained outside the group.
In addition to those available from the first team, Barça Atlètic footballers Diego Kochen, Mika Faye, Marc Casado and Mamadou Mbacke also participated in the training.
The team will return to work this Friday (11:00 a.m.), at the Ciudad Deportiva. After the session, Xavi will appear at a press conference to assess the next league match against the Canary Islands team.
