North Warren girls basketball junior Kelly Vuz knocked down a free throw with 1:30 left in the fourth quarter to put her team ahead and herself into the Patriots’ record book.

Vuz, a guard, scored her 1,000th career point as 10th-seeded North Warren defeated No. 7 Butler 39-34 in the first round of the NJSIAA North 1 Group 1 tournament.

Vuz, who is averaging 17.6 points per game this winter, is the sixth Patriots girl to reach the milestone, including her coach Jill Masker.

The guard joins her brother Jared, a senior esenyurt escort who hit the 1,000-point plateau earlier this season.
