Napoli get into the Champions League quarterfinals for the first time in their history

Historic night that the players and fans of Naples have lived at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, where the historic team from southern Italy has sealed its qualification for the quarterfinals of the Champions League, formerly the European Cup, for the first time since four attempts.

A tender Eintracht, who had already lost 2-0 in the first leg in Frankfurt, was not a rival, and Spalletti’s team completed the job without much fanfare but with fewer problems. Nor was it a day to show off but to make history, as it was.

The game was not very lucid, especially since Eintracht barely put up a fight. It was Kvaratskhelia who had the clearest ones in the initial section but Trapp responded with agility in both.

The score was moved just before the break. Politano found a corridor on the right and placed a precise cross for Osimhen to finish off without opposition between the two central defenders and finally beat Trapp.

The Nigerian, who is having a great season and had already scored in the first leg, repeated at the start of the second half at will after a cross from Di Lorenzo, who got clear with great skill and gave the goal to his teammate.

The Neapolitan party was complete when Zielinski scored the third and final from the penalty spot. It had been the Polish footballer himself who had caused the maximum penalty, committed by Sow.

In the run-up to the game, the other fall of football was experienced, the most bitter, unfortunate images of the center of Naples with very serious clashes between the police and German ultra supporters who had traveled without a ticket.
