Formula 1 returns to American soil to celebrate the 2023 Miami GP, the fifth race on the official calendar of the season, which will continue with races in Austin and Las Vegas. This race will return to the usual format, with three free practice sessions, qualifying and the long-awaited race.
Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez are once again the clear favorites in this race, with Red Bull being the best car on the current grid: both have won the four GPs held to date (Max in Bahrain and Australia and Pérez in Saudi Arabia and Baku), so there are only six points difference between the drivers.
Asturian Fernando Alonso is in third place in the standings with 60 points. The Spanish driver has added three podium finishes, and is confident that Aston Martin’s AMR23 will achieve its purpose in Miami, positioning itself as the second car on the grid, beating Mercedes and Ferrari.
The complex American layout can be quite a challenge at this GP, as tire degradation can cause problems throughout the 57 laps the drivers will take to the circuit on Sunday.
On the other hand, Carlos Sainz from Madrid is positioned in fifth place in the World Cup. The Spaniard finished third last year in Miami, so he hopes to make some improvements to the ‘Prancing Horse’ to move up the standings this weekend.
The classification of the Miami Grand Prix, the fifth race of Formula 1 2023, will take place today Saturday, May 6, at 10:00 p.m. It can be followed live on television from the DAZN channels and from the La Vanguardia website the last hour of the race will be followed in real time.
