Two legends of the Tour de France. Two cyclists who have broken records in the French round. Miguel Indurain is the only one in history to have won the Tour five consecutive times (1991-1995). For his part, Sylvain Chavanel holds the record for participations in the Grande Boucle, with a total of 18 (2001-2018). Indurain and Chavanel will animate with their presence the Alpinum TotalEnergies, which takes over from the Alp Cerdanya Cycle Tour, and which runs precisely through both of their countries (Spain and France).

It will be next June 15 when they will be part of a platoon that will enter the heart of the Pyrenees to overcome four passes (Col du Calvaire, Col de la Llose, Col de la Creu and Collada de Tosses). Indurain and Chavanel, who continue to enjoy their favorite sport in very good shape, will advise and guide the cyclists, who will have the possibility of choosing between three distances (185 kilometers and 3,635 meters of elevation gain with the four aforementioned passes; 145 km and 2,673 m; and 89 km and 1,267 m), depending on your level and training.

Departing and arriving at the municipality of Alp (Girona), it stands out for being the cycle tour with the most impressive panoramic views over the Cerdanya valley, both the Catalan and the French ones. And it also runs through part of the Gallic region of Capcir.

The Alpinum TotalEnergies, which had already existed since 2016 under the name of Alp Cerdanya Cycle Tour, takes new impetus to improve the participant’s experience. Thus, it will be part of the IV Edition of the TotalEnergies Challenge Cycle Tourism Circuit ([challenge.totalenergies.es]challenge.totalenergies.es), which also includes four other prestigious events: La Indurain (July 20), La Perico (August 11 ), Gran Fondo Alberto Contador (September 21) and Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves (December 1).
