The Champions League is coming to an end. On June 1, 2024, the team that will take Europe’s great trophy home after playing at Wembley Stadium will be revealed. This Friday, March 15, the draw for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League 2023/2024 will take place, where Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City is the champion.
Two Spanish teams will face each other: FC Barcelona (League champion) and Atlético de Madrid, after Real Sociedad fell to PSG. The quarterfinal matches will be played on April 9 and 10, the first leg, and the return leg on the 16th and 17th of the same month.
The eight teams that managed to advance beyond the round of 16 will participate in the draw, but with two new conditions to take into account: any team will be able to face the other seven participants in the draw. From this stage onwards, teams from the same country could face each other, as well as those that have met in the group stage of the tournament. Regarding the draw procedure, the first ball drawn will correspond to the home team, while the second will belong to the visiting team.
The draw for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League 2023/2024 takes place today, Friday, March 15, at 12:00 p.m.
The competition can be followed on the Movistar Plus (7) and Movistar Champions League (56) channels, on the Movistar Plus platform, in addition to the official UEFA channel, UEFA TV. Likewise, you can follow the previous and last minute of everything that happens through the La Vanguardia website.
