Carlos Alcaraz and Grigor Dimitrov will meet this Sunday in round 32 of the Mutua Madrid Open. The Spaniard, how could it be otherwise, is one of the clear favorites to win the prestigious Madrid tournament.
The Murcian arrives at the match after having had to come back against the Finn Emil Ruususuvori. Alcaraz was very erratic in the first round, but as he got into the game he managed to impose his superiority on the track.
In front of him he will have a Dimitrov who arrives leaving many doubts. The Bulgarian saw them and wished them to defeat the French Grégoire Barrère. In two tie-breaks, the first due to a heart attack, he managed to overcome the tie to reach the appointment with Alcaraz, in which he has little to lose and much to gain.
Both tennis players have faced each other on a single occasion. It was at the 2022 Masters 1000 in Paris, on a completely different surface, but Alcaraz easily got rid of his opponent in two sets in which he only gave up four games.
The match between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniel Evans in round 32 of the Mutua Madrid Open will take place this Sunday, April 30, not before 8:00 p.m. The meeting can be seen on RTVE and can also be followed live on the La Vanguardia website.
