Big scoring nights are almost getting to be a habit this season for Kawhi Leonard.
The Spurs All-Star forward had another night with at least 30 points, continuing his scoring binge in what is turning out to be a year when he is emerging as a legitimate Most Valuable Player candidate.
Leonard for 31 points Wednesday night, including the game-winning shot to power the Spurs to a tough 100-99 triumph over Indiana.
It marked Leonard’s 20th game with at least 30 points this season. In those games, the Spurs are 15-5.
Before this season in the previous 399 regular-season and playoff games of his NBA career, Leonard previously rhad seven 30-point games. In his 54 games this season, he’s had 20 30-point games.
