This month of March has been characterized by being one of the rainiest in memory. The latest rains have left records well above the average for other years. The rainfall and the high temperatures reached will undoubtedly remain in the annals of meteorology. Records that continue to contrast with the drought suffered by the eastern part of the peninsula, where the swamps remain at minimum levels.
In Navarra, its four large reservoirs are at maximum capacity. With the latest rains, they have gone from 93 to 95% of the total, practically to the limit. As can be seen in the images that appear in the video that accompanies this article, the Alloz reservoir shows a large amount of water that bathes areas where there is usually none, a good example of which are the trees surrounded by water.
A year ago, the average for Navarrese reservoirs was much lower than today. They were almost at 65%. Now, the swamps of the regional community keep a reserve of 966 cubic hectometers of water.
