The anticyclonic weather will be interrupted by several fronts associated with Storm Olivia, which will mainly affect the northwest of the peninsula, increasing cloudiness and precipitation in Galicia, and with less probability in the Cantabrian mountain range, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency. (Aemet).
The rains will be more intense in western Galicia, where they may be locally strong or persistent, tending to decrease throughout the day. It is also not ruled out that the tail of a front ends up leaving some weak precipitation at the end of the day in the northwest of the Canary Islands.
The agency does not rule out an outbreak of haze in the southwest of the peninsula, Alborán and the east of the Canary Islands. It also foresees morning mists and fog banks in the western Cantabrian Sea, coasts of Atlantic Andalusia and points in the Mediterranean area.
In the rest of the country, stable anticyclonic weather is expected with slightly cloudy skies or high clouds. And temperatures will rise again almost universally, the agency continues. The points in the country that will register the highest maximums will be Jaén, Murcia and Seville (30 degrees), Granada (29) and Badajoz, Córdoba and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (with 28).
For this Friday, easterly winds are expected to blow in Andalusia and Murcia, with strong Levante intervals in the Strait. In the rest of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, intervals of strong wind in Galicia, the Cantabrian mountain range and Ampurdán and even very strong on the west coast of Galicia.
The agency has activated the yellow warning in Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León and Galicia due to wind gusts that can exceed 90 kilometers per hour. Same alert for coastal phenomena in Andalusia and Galicia.
