A situation caused by the influence of two low pressure centers, with the passage of several fronts. For this reason, a predominance of cloudy or overcast skies and almost generalized precipitation is expected, unlikely and less intense in the southeast of the peninsula.
The rains will be more abundant in areas of the Atlantic and northeastern slopes, especially in Galicia, west of the Central system, Strait, Aragon and Catalonia, where they may be locally strong or persistent, without ruling out occasional storms.
It is expected that they will be in the form of snow in the mountains and large nearby areas of the northern and southeastern half, with probable accumulations of 10-20 cm in the mountains of the northwest, west of the Central system and 5 centimeters in the Pyrenees. There are warnings in Aragón, Andalusia, Castilla y León, Catalunya, Galicia and Madrid.
Intense winds from the south will blow in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with intervals of strong winds on the coasts, strong winds in Galicia and the Strait, as well as very strong gusts in the mountains of the northern half and the southeast.
The worst will be in Almería, Cádiz, Zaragoza, Asturias, Mallorca, Cantabria, Burgos, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Soria, Zamora, Albacete, Toledo, A Coruña, Lugo, Pontevedra, Navarra, La Rioja due to gusts that may reach 80 kilometers per hour.
For this Friday, a sharp drop in maximum temperatures is expected, a drop that will be even more notable in the east of Andalusia and the Southern plateau. The minimums will increase in the extreme northeast and the Balearic Islands, decreasing in the rest. Weak frosts will occur in the mountains of the northern and southeastern half, without ruling out nearby areas, which are somewhat more intense in the Pyrenees.
On Saturday the situation will be even more adverse, according to the Aemet forecast. The influence of a broad and deep low pressure system is expected to continue, with several fronts that will leave cloudy or overcast skies, as well as widespread and abundant precipitation.
For that day, the rains will be locally strong or persistent in the west of Galicia, the Pyrenees, the Straits and areas of Andalusia, without ruling out the central mountains and may occasionally be accompanied by storms and hail.
