The peninsula is experiencing very different times in terms of rainfall and the situation of the reservoirs. While much of the east of the country – especially Catalonia – is experiencing extreme drought, in other areas of the Ebro River the situation is the opposite.

During this episode, discharges and lamination have been carried out in the Ullibarri and Urrúnaga reservoirs, in the Basque Country; Eugui, Alloz, Itoiz and Yesa, in Navarra; Mansill, in La Rioja, and in the Mequinenza, Ribarroja-Flix System with the aim of reducing maximum flows downstream.

The tip of the Ebro flood has been running since this past morning through Aragonese lands, where it has flooded crop fields and has forced two roads to be cut, which is usual in this type of avenues, which thanks to the work of laminating the reservoirs has not passed from ordinary and has allowed the containment motes to resist and prevent the flooding of urban areas.
