The electoral campaign for the next municipal elections on May 28 continue to leave surprising anecdotes. This time the protagonist has been Mariló Montero. Under the name of Elena Ariño López, the photo of the well-known presenter appears among the faces of the candidates of the Vox formation for the town of Épila, in Zaragoza.

The poster. The image of Mariló Montero appears as the sixth candidate of the far-right party of Épila. However, the name corresponds to Elena Ariño López.

The context. Vox’s candidacy for the municipality of 4,500 inhabitants, led by Ignacio López Giménez, has posted electoral posters around the town where you can see the images of all its members under the slogan: “Take care of Épila, take care of yours.”

The replica. From the party’s Facebook account they have apologized for what they consider a “printing error on the poster”: “From VOX Épila we regret the printing error on the poster in which the photo of Mariló Montero appeared next to the name of our candidate Elena Arino Lopez”. “Something happened to the poster. We have already removed them. It is that the candidate looks alike”.

The counter-reply The presenter assured in Everything is a lie that she took it with a “sense of humor”, although she jokingly acknowledged that she had a “myocardial infarction” and she also began to receive insults.
