Vox applauded this Monday the victory of the leader of the La Libertad Avanza formation, Javier Milei, in the primary elections for the Presidency of Argentina held on Sunday. Milei has been the politician with the most votes among the candidates for the presidency for October 22.
“Congratulations Javier, congratulations Argentina!” The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has written on Twitter, where he also echoes a message from this formation, in which he appears together with the far-right economist and in which he emphasizes that “The (Argentine) people want freedom.”
Vox’s Vice President of Political Action, Jorge Buxadé, has spoken along these lines. “Congratulations to Argentina. Javier Milei wins the primaries”, he has written on the same social network. Buxadé extends his congratulations to all Argentines who want to turn the page on systematic indebtedness, corruption, the plundering of the middle classes and submission to the disintegrative agendas of the global left.”
VÃctor González, who is also a member of the national leadership of Vox and Deputy Secretary of Resources, celebrated Milei’s victory with “enormous” joy. In his opinion, “there is a clear message for those who doubted personal freedom and democratic capitalism.”
The ultraliberal economist has surprised in the primary elections by becoming the most voted candidate for president with almost 7 million votes. The leader of the formation La Libertad Avanza, has not only capitalized on the vote of the discontent of Argentine society, but this Sunday he has become the politician with the most support among the candidates to preside over the country.
His formation won with 30.17% of the votes, followed by the main opposition coalition, Juntos por el Cambio (center-right), with 28.25%, and the pro-government Unión por la Patria (Peronist), with 27, fifteen %.
