The rohingya muslims, who do not have fled from Myanmar, is in ‘serious danger of being the victim of the crime of genocide’.
It also continues to be ‘impossible’ to return home for the one million rohingya, who have been displaced from Myanmar.
this is the sound of the warning from a team of united nations investigators on Monday night Danish time.
the UN fact-finding mission in Myanmar concluded last year that it could be described as a genocide, when the Myanmar military in 2017 to oust the men, women and children from their homes and their villages.
at the same time, recommended the UN investigators that the senior generals in Myanmar’s military – including army chief Min Aung Hlaing – should be prosecuted.
the Rohingya are a muslim minority from Myanmar. Here they have been considered to be illegal immigrants, even if they have lived in the country for many generations.
In august 2017, was about 740.000 rohingya forced to flee to the neighboring country of Bangladesh by a brutal military offensive against their territory. Here ended the up to 200,000 other rohingya in a refugee camp.
But according to the UN, they live about 600 000 rohingya who continue to find themselves in Myanmar, in the Rakhine state, under the deteriorating and deplorable conditions.
– In Myanmar fuelled the possibility of genocide is still, and the rohingya remain in a serious risk of genocide, write the investigators in their final report on Monday.
the Report is expected to be presented in its full length for the UN Human rights council in Geneva on Tuesday.
the Investigators conclude further that Myanmar is ‘deny its illegality, destroy evidence and refuse to carry out investigations’ in the context of the country’s treatment of the rohingya.
in Addition, the ‘clears’ and ‘seize’ Myanmar, the land, as rohingya have been displaced from, like the authorities in Myanmar have begun to build new buildings in the areas, conclude the investigators.
