If Sant Jordi is, in itself, a very colorful party, this 2024 it has just been filled with bright colors by the Teresines, the best neighbors you could find on a scale. For a few weeks, there was a clamor that, this day, the three sisters of Gràcia created by La Cubana would go out for a walk through the stalls of books and roses and take the opportunity to sign copies of their authorized biography: Vida de Teresina (Rosa dels winds).
Now it would be very nice to say that they walked down from their apartment in Gràcia to the promenade of the same name, but the truth is that the years do not pass in vain and they had to be accompanied in wheelchairs by three well-built and twenty-one buttons, one pink, the other pumpkin and the third yellow.
By eleven o’clock in the morning, the queue was starting to be considerable, because his fans are not satisfied with the signature of all three, but also want the mandatory photo. But they never lost their humor and, from time to time, started singing the song from the legendary series Teresina S.A., which premiered on TV3 in 1992. There were only thirteen half-hour episodes that, although this, they managed to create a popular imagination that still endures.
An admirer approached him with three books for them to sign. “Tere, what was the name of that girl who had three aunts?” Maria Teresa (Mont Plans) asks her younger sister (Sílvia Aleacar). And before Tere can answer, Teresina (Mercè Comes) intervenes: “Carla, I would say her name was Carla”. Well, let’s say her name was Carla, a twenty-year-old girl who bought three copies for her aunts, whom she calls the Teresines.
The Teresina day was full of anecdotes, such as a man who moved in a wheelchair and joined the entourage to take a photo with all three. But perhaps the most emotional note was the lit up faces of pedestrians when they discovered them. They were such good neighbors that people remember them fondly and will always be grateful for their good neighborliness.
Although the Teresines were at the foot of the canyon all day, they were also accompanied at other stops by two other characters from the series: Paca (Alex González) and Rosita (Filomena Martorell). To write this authorized biography, which has already reached its third edition, the Teresines had the collaboration of Jordi Milán, the director of La Cubana, and Pol Vinyes.
