The president of Extremadura, María Guardiola, has left the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the University Hospital of Cáceres after suffering sepsis yesterday during her surgical recovery, and is now recovering on the ward, as Guardiola herself announced in the social network
The person in charge of the Extremaduran Executive had been hospitalized since last Wednesday when the afternoon of the previous day she began to feel fever and discomfort. After undergoing medical tests, it was determined that Guardiola was suffering from an infectious process and it was decided to undergo surgery.
Later, while recovering from surgery, the president suffered sepsis, for which she had to be treated in the ICU, as reported yesterday in a statement by the Government of Extremadura.
Through X, María Guardiola has expressed her gratitude for the numerous messages received of a speedy recovery. “Thank you very much for so much love. “I’m fine, already on the floor,” she wrote.
Many popular leaders have shown these days their desire for a quick recovery for Guardiola. Among others, the Andalusian president, Juanma Moreno, the Cantabrian María José Sáenz de Buruaga, the Galician Alfonso Rueda, the Murcian Fernando López Miras and the head of the Valencian Community, Carlos Mazón.
Also national leaders of the PP, in addition to the regional ones, such as its president Alberto Núñez Feijóo and its general secretary Cuca Gamarra, showed their affection for the Extremaduran leader.
The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, also wished a “speedy recovery” and sent encouragement to the Extremaduran president yesterday through his social networks.
