Endesa and the Cruïlla festival have signed an agreement whereby the musical event, which will be held from July 5 to 8 at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, ??will be the first large format festival in Spain with a 100% energy supply from from renewable sources. In a joint statement, Endesa and Cruïlla have reported that the agreement on this sustainability plan will prevent the emission of 36,000 kilos of CO2 and eliminate the consumption of 13,600 liters of diesel. The director of the Cruïlla festival, Jordi Herreruela, has celebrated the agreement: “We have gone from being a zero plastics festival to starting the path towards a zero waste festival”. For her part, the territorial director of Endesa in Catalonia, Isabel Buesa, has emphasized that this pact will pave the way for the reduction of the environmental impact of other major music festivals.
