The doctors at the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Seville have decided to re-sedate the footballer Sergio Rico, after being conscious for several days, according to the medical statement that was made public yesterday: “He is sedated again and is in good condition serious, admitted to the intensive care unit”.

It has been 13 days since the goalkeeper of Paris Saint-Germain was admitted to the hospital, after a horse stepped on his head and caused him serious injuries during the Rocío pilgrimage.

Before the hospital issued the statement yesterday, it was already sensed that there was no positive news, after the answer that Rico’s wife, Alba Silva, gave to the journalists when she left the hospital center: “Don’t worry about me today that, I don’t like it, please. I really appreciate it, but please don’t bother me today. There are better days and worse days and today I’m having a bad day, it’s normal. Thanks”.

The sedation of the 29-year-old Sevillian footballer does not mean that he has worsened, but it could be a precaution in the delicate situation in which he is.
