Mother charged with selling one-year child for a car

the 45-year-old Alice Leann Todd has been charged with sale, transfer or purchase of a minor after police discovered that she in 2018 had disposed of his one-year son in exchange for a car. More specifically, a Plymouth Laser from 1992.

It tells police chief Brad Saintsing of Thomasville Police to NBC.

the 47-year-old Tina Marie Chavis and Vicenio Mendoza Romero of 53, which took over the woman’s son, is charged with the same.

the Police came on the track of the case in July of this year, when Tina Marie Chavis took the at the time two year old boy in the hospital, because she suspects that he had had an allergic reaction to. Here noticed the staff that the boy had bruising on the body. They contacted the social authorities and the police, who immediately set an investigation in motion.

the 47-year-old woman was questioned, claimed that she was the child’s biological mother. She later changed her explanation that she was his adoptive. But she could not prove any of the allegations, and before long discovered the police investigators that they had given a car in exchange for the child the year before.
