They tested three types of pickup lines to see what type is most effective: A direct, a cocky/flippant and an innocent.

130 men participated in the experiment. They were asked to judge 12 photos of women assigned to different pickup lines. Participants had to indicate how attractive the woman was, how promiscuous she appeared, as well as how efficiently scorereplikken worked.
For each of the three reply categories, there were four examples:
‘Shall we take a drink together?’
‘You have really lovely eyes.’

they Then analysed the researchers so that the male participants ‘ ratings to find the most active female scorereplik.
The most direct model was chosen as the most effective, followed by the spirited and to the last of the innocent.
Furthermore shows the analyses that the woman’s appearance has a great importance: All types of pickup lines was rated as active if the woman looked good, also more than her assumed promiscuity.
