The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, considers the European elections on June 9 to be a new opportunity in his mission to replace the PSOE and Pedro Sánchez at the head of the Government of Spain. In the same way that the municipal and regional elections of May 28, 2023 were “a new beginning for the PP as the first force in Spain”, the European elections “can be the new beginning for the change of Spain”.

At an event in Málaga, Feijóo encouraged yesterday to take part in the new date with the ballot boxes and to “concentrate” the vote in his party before the rest of the right-wing proposals to give “a huge overturn” to the socialists.

“There is only one way for the Government to listen to us, by defeating it, and there is only one way to win these elections, through the PP”. Therefore, “if we concentrate, we will win, as we have done in most communities, town councils and in the general elections”, recalled the leader of the PP.

Feijóo asked for the vote to face “the insults, to all those who don’t think like them”, and to “respond with democracy, with the ballot boxes and winning the European elections”. The leader showed a moderate profile stating that “Sánchez is the past in Spain” and encouraging to go “forward, stop looking back, divide, fragment and live from confrontation”. “You can’t live on this, this is not the future”, he added.

Feijóo offered his party to “continue making a nation” instead of “auctioning the equality and interest of all the neighbors of Spain”, to “serve the people” and put an end to “pride”, the ” division”, the “insult”… “More humility and more collaboration”. And he said that he was “with a clear conscience” for the role of PP governments, even if he goes with Vox in many places. “We exercise governments with responsibility and not from the attempt to confront us and try to tell people ‘with me or against me'”, he justified.

In fact, he showed satisfaction for the “duty fulfilled”, for the involvement “in the service of the Spaniards”, both from the local, regional and national level, and from both the government and the opposition , he remarked.

On the contrary, Feijóo lashed out at the central government for “all this time of lies, privileges, concessions and decay”, in which, in his opinion, “they have tried to corner all those who are against it”. And he again positioned his party as a solution against “those who want dependent institutions according to their convenience”.

On the other hand, the popular leader called on “every neglected Spaniard” to demand “the treatment he deserves”. With his eyes fixed on the demonstration called by the PP itself on May 26 in Madrid against the “Pedro Sánchez’s policy of philandering” and the “suspicion of corruption on his Government, his party and his environment”, Feijóo encouraged that “the voice of the street, the voice of the countryside, the voice of farmers, ranchers, fishermen, women and young people be heard”.

The leader encouraged them to “not be afraid” of the Government and asked them to vote for his party: “Let them say, let them act, let them vote and let them decide”, because “the vote is the answer to deception, to the “selfishness, the answer to the division of the wall, to the political and economic corruption of the Government and its party”.
