Former verdensrekordholder in the half marathon Abraham Kiptum has been sentenced to four years in quarantine in order to break these anti-doping rules.
It has Atletikkens Integritetsenhed (AIU) certainly, writes the news agency Reuters.
Kenyaneren penalised for having breached the rules concerning the biological passport.
The now 30-year-old Kiptum beat the world record in the half marathon, when he slammed into the goal at the time of 58 minutes and 18 seconds in Valencia, Spain in October 2018.
the Runner has now been disqualified from this and all other races, he has participated in from the 13. October of last year and up to the 26. april this year, when he was suspended.
the Time at 58 minutes and 18 seconds was the fastest in history, until compatriot Geoffrey Kamworor two months ago set a new world record in Copenhagen.
Here won Kamworor in superb style Copenhagen Half Marathon in a time of 58 minutes and 1 second.
