In late november, telling the Danish singer and radio host Karen Rosenberg, that she had been hit by infektionssygdommen Borrelia, which occurs at the tick bite.

‘Now I’m on a long pencillinkur and got on Friday made a lumbar puncture, which takes some of the rygmarvsvæsken out to see if Borreliaen has evolved to be neurological’, she wrote Instagram, where she also told that she had a very nasty headache, but that the first prøvetal fortunately, had seen the fine out.

In a few weeks, Karen waited anxiously on the next prøvetal, which now finally has come. The she says on her Instagram profile.

‘A little update on the last of its kind. First of all 1000 thanks for all the nice messages I have received from so many of you. Fortunately, the sample that I got taken two weeks ago, of the spinal fluid shown to Borraliaen NOT neurological. Big hurrah, the sounds from Karen on social media, where she continues:

‘in return, I have had ridiculous pain in the head since the test was made and have almost not been able to be vertical ago. It culminated yesterday with, I got a so-called blodplaster at Hvidovre Hospital. It has helped a little, and it is really nice, although I still have the right brain in the head and has jelly in the legs’.

‘But now I am trying today for the first time in three weeks to be vertical more than ten minutes and be a bit social and go to wish my friends a merry christmas. Hope you all have a lovely julelørdag’, she concludes the ad.

Karen Rosenberg, who is probably best known only as Karen, broke through in 2000 with the r’n’b-the album ‘one to One’. She has since released two more albums. In 2014 she debuted as an actress when she got the lead role in Jonas Elmer’s film ‘A second life’. Today she works as a host on P8 Jazz.

Ekstra Bladet has tried in vain to get a comment from Karen Rosenberg.

Borrelia infection

Infection with Borrelia can give different symptoms. The early infection, the first stage show within weeks after infection with a characteristic red, well-defined skin rash around bidstedet that spreads (erythema migrans).

In the second stage, the infection can spread from bidstedet to other organs, such as the brain (neuroborreliose). The symptoms of neuroborreliose shows itself typically as headaches and neck/rygstivhed and radiating nerve pain or muskellammelser, typically in the face.

Borrelia infection is transmitted only by tick bite, and is transmitted between people.
