A member of one of Mexico’s richest families has been arrested and charged with manslaughter on his own 11-year-old son, who died on a boat trip in the San Francisco bay, when his own father according to the police indictment in the state of intoxication in a bådulykke came to sail over him and his older brother, while they were lying in the water.

The 57-year-old Javier Burillo was on Sunday arrested in its 67 million crowns expensive villa in Belvedere, California, says police chief Michael Cronin.

Burillo Javier was in the course of Sunday, taken out to sail in his motor boat in the San Fransisco bay along with his two sons, aged respectively 11 and 27 years. Both boys fell, however, suddenly out of the boat near the island of Angel Island. Police chief Michael Cronin told Monday at a press conference, that the sons supposedly fell out of the boat, because it suddenly sailed into a big wave.

Burillo sailed back to rescue his two sons out of the water. In this regard, however, he came, according to the charges, to sail into them. Managed Burillo to get pulled both his sons into the motorboat again. Then he sailed immediately to the nearby yacht club Corinthian Yacht Club, where the boys came in medical care. The youngest, 11-year-old son died, however, of his injuries.

After the accident was Burillo exposed to the police breath test, which revealed that he had been intoxicated in connection with the accident.
