– It is insane to use the fireworks as weapons. I am deeply offended, and it is a miracle that no one has been seriously hurt. We have seen examples of, that a child has lost his life after being hit by the fireworks in the stomach, ” says Jørgen Norman Bach, chief technical advisor at Danish Demining Group, under the danchurchaid in Denmark.

Jørgen Norman Bach is not an expert in fireworks but in turn has decades of experience in clearing mines in the world’s war zones and deal with sprængstofulykker and mutilated bodies of bomb victims.

– People have not a chance to protect themselves. Some may be around with nylonjakker, as fireworks can put the fire in, and who goes with the goggles an ordinary winter evening? It makes no. I would even be nervous to move outside a door with my child, as the situation in those areas is now, ” says Jørgen Norman Bach.
The Danish minerydder acknowledges that it is near impossible to control the autonomous fireworks-street fighting.
