Malta’s prime minister retires from his post in the middle of a political skandalesag involving bomb attack against an investigative journalist.

It writes the Times of Malta, according to Reuters.

Prime minister Joseph Muscat stated otherwise earlier in the day, that he was going to be on the record until investigation into the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was complete.

Caruana Galiza was killed by a car bomb in October 2017. She was known for looking for information on economic crime among high-ranking maltese.

Prior to his death posted Caruana Galiza a series of blog posts with the allegations about corruption in the government.

The most recent time, several members of the maltese government drawn up, and the population has, therefore, requested the prime minister’s departure.
