A firefighter in China was caught in dramatic footage as he rappelled from the ninth floor of a hospital and kicked a suicidal woman back inside.
The distraught woman in Ruzhou City opened an eighth-story window and sat on the ledge, where she caught the attention of passers-by and hospital staff, Asia Wire reported.
Authorities set up an inflatable cushion below while cops and family members tried to talk her out of committing suicide.
But the stand-off continued so firefighters decided to approach the emotional woman from above – sending the heroic smoke-eater dangling just above her.
He waits for the moment the woman’s relatives distract her and makes a daring leap to kick her back inside the room as cheers erupt.
It was unclear why the unidentified woman wanted to end her life but reports suggested it may have been related to relationship troubles.
