The organic supermarket chain Veritas had a turnover of a total of 113.5 million euros last year, which is 5.1% more than in 2021, and plans to open 20 stores before 2025.
Last year the chain celebrated its twentieth anniversary and focused its efforts on consolidating its store park with a new opening, nine refurbished stores and three fewer stores due to repositioning of the business model, operations to which it allocated 1.7 million euros .
In a statement, the chain has highlighted that the growth in billing registered in 2022 exceeded the 1.2% registered in 2021.
The president of Veritas, Silvio Elías, has assured that the 2022 results show that the group “continues with the solid and sustained growth of recent years”.
All in all, Veritas has specified that the cost of energy had a notable impact on the business in 2022, accounting for 2.44 million, 92% more than in 2021.
Veritas currently has 79 stores, including the online store, which serves some 200,000 customers, and there are two franchisees out of this store park.
