We lose around 100 hairs every day, according to the results of a study carried out by different American universities such as Pennsylvania and Maryland. Although this figure may vary depending on age, those over 40 tend to lose less hair and those under 40 more. It does not mean, however, that we are going bald, far from it. It is a normal and healthy process, concludes the study.

There is nothing we can do to prevent this natural hair loss and it has nothing to do with washing or combing your hair every day.

New research from the dermatology departments of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Washington University School of Medicine (both in the United States) has determined which seasons of the year are when hair falls the most.

The study was carried out by analyzing data from Google searches on hair loss in eight countries in both hemispheres from January 2004 to October 2016. The scientists hypothesized that the greater the number of searches, the greater the risk. number of people whose hair was falling out. ,

After these 12 years of research, experts discovered that summer is the season in which there are the most searches of this type. The next season was autumn, with winter and spring coming last.

The leader of the study, Dr. Shawn Kwatra, has assured in a statement that his team will continue research to clarify the relationship that there may be between these seasons and hair loss.

“This finding is clinically relevant for patients who experience worsening hair loss in the summer and fall months and has implications in evaluating the effectiveness of therapies,” concludes Kwatra.
