The Prosecutor's Office asks to file the case for the raffle of a prostitute in a military chat at the Bruc barracks

The Prosecutor’s Office has asked the judge to file the case for the alleged raffle of a prostitute in a military chat at the Bruc barracks in Barcelona, ??concluding that it was “fictitious”, since “there was never” a “real intention” to hire their services and that the “royal prize” was a Christmas basket.

As reported by the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Barcelona, ??the public prosecutor has sent a letter to the head of the trial court 30 of Barcelona in which he defends that the criminal case be archived, considering that the facts are not criminal, “without prejudice to the disciplinary responsibilities that, where appropriate, could be imposed on those responsible for the comments.

The Prosecutor’s Office maintains that, after a “detailed investigation” carried out at the Bruc barracks in Barcelona, ??it was possible to identify the two responsible for the ad and it was concluded that it was an unofficial WhatsApp group and that the alleged lottery of the prostitute “was totally fictitious”, since “there was never a real intention” to contract the services of any prostitute nor was any procedure carried out for it.

The “real and effective” prize of the contest, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, was a Christmas basket.

In the absence, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, of a “real and specific person” in the situation of prostitution, in this case the legal requirements do not meet to understand that a crime against prostitution could have been committed, or inducement to prostitution, or trafficking. of human beings, nor sexual exploitation, nor any hate speech.

The judge opened the investigation as a result of a complaint filed last December by the head of the Infantry regiment after the publication in the newspaper Ara of a story that revealed that soldiers from the Bruc barracks would have raffled on November 22, 2022, in a Internal chat with about 70 members, the services of a prostitute on the occasion of the Purísima bridge, to raise funds for the company’s parties, which were celebrated on the occasion of the Day of the Immaculate Conception.
